Holidays are Here Again

It’s beginning to look a lot like winter.  Football season is off and running, the days are getting shorter, and the weather is getting colder.  Hope you all are staying warm and getting ready for the holiday season.

First, we would like to thank everyone who was involved with our fall fundraiser, AppleFest.  Despite the challenging road construction on Northport Drive, AppleFest was well attended this year and over $13,800 in revenues was raised.  With great prizes, baked goods, books, entertainment, and Bucky Badger, the event was great fun.  So thank you to all of the staff, volunteers, donators, and attendees for a great event.  We hope to see you all next year on September 29, 2012 for the next AppleFest.

Next on our list of things to say is, Halloween has come and gone.  We hope you had big fun at a party or trick-or-treating this year.  But the holidays are just starting.  In three weeks, Thanksgiving will be taking place.  So break out the turkey and gravy and have some fun with the family.  Then, get ready for the Christmas season.  Remember, Santa’s watching you.

NESCO will also like to spend some time with our seniors these holiday seasons.  On Tuesday, November 15th and Tuesday, December 20th, our senior dining site at Warner Park will be holding special holiday meals in celebration of Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Friends and family of our NESCO seniors are welcome to join us.  Please call (608) 243-5252 by noon the day before to make a reservation.  We hope to see you there.  In the mean time, stay warm.
