We have some fun events going on this month that I encourage all of you to take advantage of, starting off with our annual “Senior Adult Prom.” This event will take place at Black Hawk Middle School gym (1402 Wyoming Way, Madison.) The theme for this year is “Hollywood.” Come as you are or dress for the theme. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a DJ, and limited transportation is available. That’s Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 6:30-8:30pm.
The African American Cultural Diversity Diabetes Support Group will have a speaker from the Endocrinologist Department with Meriter Hospital to talk about the link between diabetes and heart disease on Thursday, April 26, 2012, 2-4pm, 540 W. Olin Ave. in the community room. Transportation is available.
Save-the-date for our free Multicultural Health Fair at Warner Park; receive a variety of free health screens and visit over 20 informational booths. A healthy lunch will be served at 11:30am and bingo will start after. Transportation is limited and you will need to sign-up for lunch by May 10th at Noon, call 608 243-5252.
Remember: “Nobody can take care of you like you can, but if someone wants to try, let them.”
