Position: Volunteer & Special Events Coordinator

The North/Eastside Senior Coalition (a non-profit organization) is seeking an organized and compassionate individual to serve as a Special Events and Volunteer Coordinator. Under the direction of the Executive Director you will recruit, train, support and provide limited supervision to NESCO volunteers for the Home Chore Program. You will assist staff with the planning, coordinating, overseeing NESCO’s annual fundraising and community events, including but not limited to AppleFest, BratFest, the Family Caregiver Resource Fair, and the Senior Health Fair. Retired senior adults and those of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Prior successful event and volunteer coordination experience is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or a related field is preferred but not required. A Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required. A copy of the job description is available at www.nescoinc.org or by calling (608) 243-5252.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time position. The position requires a variable work schedule with flexibility. Work hours generally fall between 8 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday but some night and weekend hours will be required. Starting pay is $13.50/hour. NESCO will pay a portion of the Health Insurance premium for benefits-eligible employees, and this portion will be set by the NESCO Board on an annual basis. The Coalition will pay 100% of the single Dental Insurance premium for benefits eligible full-time employees. Family/domestic partner coverage is available for both Health and Dental Insurance but paid for by the employee. Flex Spending Plan, Short & Long-Term Disability Insurance, Paid Holidays, Vacation & Sick Time are also offered.
